We are happy to announce that PYPA has received funding for another four years! The first activity of the programme in Africa is the first session of the PYPA academy in East Africa.

The sessions is taking place in Mombasa at the Mombasa Continental Resort 17-26 May, bringing together 45 participants from 19 political parties from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

KIC is also honored to be hosting Alphia Faith Kemokai from Young Political Leadership School Africa in Liberia here to learn and share experiences.

The first day the participants had the opportunity to participate in the amazing race challenge which a PYPA team building fun activity that builds cohesion and cooperation. In the afternoon Michael Ohene-Effah introduced the Goal setting session in which participants received workbooks to fill up both their political and personal goals which also involved how to set SMART goals.

In addition to the goal setting the Agenda also includes the Sustainable Development Goals, conflict management, the youth perspective, political ideology and public speaking. This is the first session of three that will be held in East Africa during 2024.
