The third and final session of the PYPA Leadership Academy for the 2024 cohort was held at the Jinja Nile Resort in Jinja, Uganda, from November 10th to 18th. This marked the conclusion of a transformative journey for the 42 participants, representing 19 political parties from Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, who successfully graduated from the programme.

The agenda for this intensive session covered key topics such as good governance, political economy, human rights, emotional intelligence, and election campaigns.

We were also honoured by the presence of five youth leaders, alumni of PYPA, representing NUP, FDC, DP, NRM, and UDA, who shared their experiences and insights with the cohort. Additionally, former participant Omer Bongo, a graduate of RYPLA—the predecessor to PYPA—delivered an inspiring keynote speech at the graduation ceremony, offering valuable reflections on leadership and political engagement.
