Not really a day off. A relaxing day spent reflecting on the history of the South African freedom struggle at the apartheid museum and a visit to Vilakazi Street in Soweto. Vilakazi Street is the only street of two Nobel Peace Prize winners – Archbishop Tutu and President Nelson Mandela. In Soweto, participants also visited the Mandela Museum and the memorial dedicated to the heroic youth of the 16 June 1976 uprising that changed the course of the South African freedom struggle towards victory for the democratic forces.
